FIRE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT POLICY

The Remington Water District Board instituted a new policy today in response the possible fire threat to our neighbors. Due to the fire that was off of Brunner, all residents on Seasons Rd and south of Seasons Rd, may use as much water as necessary to saturate the property around their homes to save them from the possibility of fire.

The policy states. In the event of immediate potential fire threat, users closest to the fire and the immediate street behind them may use as much water as necessary to protect their homes. Users will not be billed more than what their regular usage would be for the same time periods from prior years. We would like other users not in immediate danger to hold off on using water so that the system can adequately handle water flow needs for users immediately being affected by the threat and firefighters working to control the situation.
